Terms & Conditions

Contract of service 

Agreement

By using Explorer Paws Dog Walking Services ("Service Provider"), you (the "Client") agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms apply to all dog walking services provided by Explorer Paws.

Booking permanent slots and flexible booking slots

The Client may choose to book permanent slots through block bookings and flexible bookings that guarantee specific days and times for dog walking services. To secure your preferred days and times for dog walking, the option to book slots through block bookings and flexible bookings is available. To confirm these slots, the payment must be paid in advance.

 

This ensures that your chosen days and time slots are reserved exclusively for your dog. Bookings for flexible slots must be made no later than 48 hours in advance. Payments for flexible slots and block bookings must be paid at the time of booking. If no payment is received the walk will not proceed.

Service Details

The Client agrees to provide accurate and complete information about their pet, including medical history, behavioral concerns, and any special requirements. The Service Provider agrees to provide dog walking services in accordance with the agreed schedule and specifications.

Payment

The Client agrees to pay the specified fee for the dog walking services as outlined in the agreed-upon service package. Payments are due in advance and can be taken via bank transfer or cash payments. 

Cancellation and Rescheduling

We understand that circumstances may arise that require changes to your scheduled dog walking services. To ensure the smooth operation of our services and fairness to all clients, we have a cancellation and rescheduling policy in place.

If you need to cancel or reschedule a full-time slot for dog walking, we kindly ask that you provide us with a minimum of a months notice before the scheduled walk. In the event of a cancellation request, Explorer Paws will not provide a refund. The booked walk can be rescheduled for any available slot within the same month. This advance notice allows us to make necessary adjustments to our schedules and availability. 

 

We highly value your understanding and cooperation in adhering to this policy, as it enables us to effectively manage our resources and continue providing top-notch dog walking services to all our valued clients.

Safety and Behavior

The Client confirms that their dog is up-to-date on vaccinations, flea, and tick treatments. The Client agrees to inform the Service Provider of any aggressive behavior, medical conditions, or other relevant information about their dog. The Service Provider reserves the right to terminate services if a dog displays aggressive behavior that poses a risk to the Service Provider, other dogs, or the public, in this instance, a full refund of any additional booked sessions will be given. 

Liability

The Client acknowledges that dog walking involves certain risks, and the Service Provider is not liable for any injury, illness, loss, or damage to the dog(s) or property. The Service Provider agrees to take reasonable precautions to ensure the safety and well-being of the dogs in their care.

To further ensure your peace of mind, please be informed that Explorer Paws maintains comprehensive public liability insurance, including care, custody, and control coverage. This coverage is designed to protect against unforeseen circumstances and incidents that may occur while your dog is under our care.

While we strive to provide the utmost care and attention to your furry companion, this insurance coverage provides an additional layer of protection for both you and your pet. In the unlikely event of an incident, this insurance coverage assists in safeguarding your pet's well-being and your peace of mind.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any inquiries regarding our insurance coverage or any other concerns related to liability. Your trust and satisfaction are of paramount importance to us.

Emergency Situations

The Client authorizes the Service Provider to seek emergency medical care for the dog(s) if necessary. The Client agrees to cover any expenses related to emergency veterinary care and the service provider aims to, in the event of an emergency, take the dog to the veterinary practice that they are registered to, to ensure the highest level of medical attention and care. 

Confidentiality

Both parties agree to maintain the confidentiality of any personal or sensitive information shared during the course of the services.

Equality and Discrimination

Explorer Paws complies with the Equality Act 2010 and does not accept abuse towards any member of staff or clients based on age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion/belief, sex (gender), and sexual orientation. Explorer Paws provides a safe and respectful environment for all individuals in line with our commitment to inclusivity

Policy on Violence & Inappropriate Behaviors

Explorer Paws has a zero-tolerance policy towards abuse (verbal or physical), threatening behavior, violence towards or inappropriate behavior directed at our staff. Such behavior will result in the immediate termination of your booking/contract without refund. Legal action may be taken against individuals in breach of this policy as per relevant UK legislation. Explorer Paws will not tolerate belittling of its staff or harassment via business chats or social media. Breach of this will also result in cancellation of all services.

The Animal Welfare Act

We prioritize the welfare of animals as mandated by the Animal Welfare Act 2006. Any breach of this act, resulting in unnecessary suffering, will be reported to relevant authorities, such as the RSPCA and the Police.

The Dangerous Dog Act

By engaging with Explorer Paws, you confirm that your dog(s) have never bitten anyone and have not been classified as a dangerous dog under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 or any subsequent amendments. This act aims to ensure public safety and prevent dog-related incidents.

Misrepresentation of your dog's behavior or classification under the Dangerous Dogs Act may not only lead to the cancellation of insurance coverage and breach of our terms but could also result in legal consequences as stipulated by the act.

If your dog has been classified as a dangerous dog under the act, we regret to inform you that we cannot provide our services due to legal and safety considerations. It is your responsibility to ensure that your dog complies with the requirements of the Dangerous Dogs Act and any other relevant legislation.

We prioritize the safety of our staff, other dogs, and the public, and complying with the Dangerous Dogs Act is essential to maintain a secure environment for all parties involved. If you have any questions or concerns about this requirement, please feel free to contact us for further clarification.

Loss or Damage

As the owner, you are liable for any loss or damage caused by your dog while under the care of Explorer Paws. We expect you to maintain financial responsibility for any loss or damage to property incurred while your dog is under our care, excluding normal wear and tear. In the event of a road traffic collision (RTC), we will assess the situation and act accordingly. Our insurance will cover injuries sustained by pets in line with policy terms.

Privacy Policy

We take your privacy seriously and ensure all collected data is protected in line with data protection regulations.

Copyright Notice

All content on the Explorer Paws website is protected by copyright law. Unauthorized copying or reproduction of content is subject to legal action.

Personal Property

During the pick up and drop off of your dog at your chosen location or home Explorer Paws is not responsible for any damages that are out of our control. The access that the service provider is granted is at the authority of the client and will be adhered to. The responsibility of any keys that have been granted access to the service provider from the client is at the service providers risk. We ensure that any keys will be kept unmarked in a locked box with access only by the service provider. 

Amendments

We reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions. Your continued use of our services after changes will be considered as your acceptance of the updated terms.
